College specialising in English Language Courses for Foreign Student/Clients
and T.E.F.L. Teacher Training Courses. The I.T.C.I. offers both General
English to all levels and English for Special Purposes programmes.

and English must be spoken at all times within the College.
The English classes are held in an elegant Victorian building in the
fashionable sea-side town of Dún Laoghaire 15 minutes by train from Dublin
city centre. In the Victorian town of Dún Laoghaire there are many ways
for students to enjoy their free time: visiting the James Joyce Martello
Tower Museum, the National Maritime Museum, or strolling the harbour piers,
relaxing in the parks and dining in its many international restaurants
and cafés. Close by are the homes of some of Ireland's rich and famous
- Bono & the Edge of U2, Formula 1 drivers Damon Hill and Eddie Irvine,
Singers Sinead O'Connor, Van Morrison, Eyna, Lisa Stansfield, writers
Maeve Binchy, Hugh Leonard and many T.V. personalities.
| The core language programme consists of lessons
every morning for three hours(10.00 a.m. - 1.00 p.m.)from Monday to
Friday throughout the year and part-time classes are also available.
On the first day the student's/client's level is assessed and his/her
needs are ascertained. This helps the academic manager to place each
Student/Client in the appropriate class/group and to plan the structure
and content of the course. Consolidation and reinforcement of classroom
work is done via study assignments and/or use of library.
Tailor-made courses are specially designed by trainers to meet
the needs of clients for specific job-related purposes e.g. English
for business, science etc.
The I.T.C.I. has an excellent range of up-to-date course books,
journals, teaching aids and audio visual materials available to
its staff thus enabling its Teachers/Trainers to select materials
appropriate to the level and needs of their Students/Clients.
